Welcome to the VITALITY INITIATIVE
The New Richmond Vitality Initiative is a long-term effort to improve
the health and well-being of our community. We are a grassroots
organization of community volunteers that is devoted to making
the New Richmond area one of the healthiest places in Wisconsin!

Vitality Approved Restaurants!
One of the hottest consumer trends is the growing demand for healthy restaurant choices and accurate nutrition information. The Eat Wisely Committee of the Vitality Initiative aims to focus on eating well balanced meals and to help consumers make educated choices that are “better for you.” The need for healthy restaurant options was identified by Vitality Initiative Committee members with the concern of rising obesity and a desire to arm local citizens with information to make healthier food choices. We are happy to share 4 restaurants have decided to support this mission.

OUR PURPOSE: Promote individual and community health and well-being.
OUR METHOD: Endorse and support groups and activities that advance our purpose and foster physical, spiritual, emotional and social well-being.
Our community-wide initiative is based on research conducted for a number of local and national programs:
• "Let's Move" initiative promtoed by First Lady Michelle Obama
• "Blue Zones" a community-based effort to promote long life and quality lives.
• "Younger Next Year" promoting steps people can take to live well, even into their 80's.
• St. Croix County's "Community Health Improvement Program"
